This computer includes a remote control unit, which allows you to control some of your computer's functions. Use this device to navigate when watching TV or playing CDs/DVDs. An internal modem provides capability for data and fax communication. The speed of data transfer and fax depends on analog telephone line conditions. It has a modem jack for connecting to a telephone line. Both of V.90 and V.92 are supported only in USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany and Australia. Only V.90 is available in other regions. The computer has built-in support for Ethernet LAN (10 megabits per second, 10BASE-T), Fast Ethernet LAN (100 megabits per second, 100BASE-TX) and Gigabit Ethernet LAN (1000 megabits per second, 1000BASE-T). Some computers in this series offer Bluetooth wireless communication functionality which eliminates the need for cables between electronic devices such as computers and printers.
