Install or Reseat Transfer Roller ■ Ensure the CTD (ADC) Sensor is clean. ■ Ensure that the Transfer Roller Assembly is correctly installed. ■ Cycle printer power. ■ If the problem persists, follow the procedure below. Troubleshooting Reference Table Applicable Parts CTD (ADC) Sensor Assembly , PL 5.1.11 Transfer Roller Assembly, PL 8.1.12 Wiring and Plug/Jack Map References "Xerographics 1" on page 10-23 Troubleshooting Procedure Table Step Actions and Questions Yes 1 Check the following parts for damage and Complete replace if defective: Transfer Roller PL 8.1.12 CTD (ADC) Sensor, PL 5.1.11 2 Clean the CTD (ADC) Sensor to remove Complete any toner build up. Does this fix the problem? 3 Use service diagnostics to test the CTD Go to Step 4. (ADC) Sensor. Does the sensor function correctly? 4 Replace the Transfer Roller. Does the error recur? Go to Step 5. 5 Is the CTD (ADC) Harness connected to Go to Step 6. the CTD (ADC) Sensor correctly? 6 Check J 136 J 1361 on the CTD (ADC) Harness for continuity. Go to Step 7. 7 Check J 1361 J 13 on the Front 1A Go to Step 8. Harness for continuity. 8 Verify the voltage between P/J136-5 Replace the CTD P/J136-3 on the Front 1A Harness (ADC) Sensor, Assembly is 0 VDC. page 8-42. No Go to Step 2. Go to Step 3. Go to Step 5.
