110 Can't download images, camera is not recognized or the Event dialog does not display when the camera is connected via the USB interface. Cause #1 Computer doesn't support the USB interface. The USB interface is not supported for computers not in compliance with the following requirements. Acquire the necessary system to use the USB interface. Requirements • Built-in USB interface on a system preinstalled with one of Windows 98 (First or Second Edition)/ Windows Me / Windows 2000 / Windows XP (Event dialog will not display in Windows XP). • Genuine Apple Computer brand computer with a built-in USB interface. Cause #2 Camera is not correctly connected to the computer. Read Connecting the Camera to a Computer (p. 25) for the correct connection method. Ensure that you are using the correct cable and that both connectors are firmly attached. Cause #3 Camera's [Communication] setting not set to [Normal]. The camera's [Communication] setting must be set to [Normal] except when a PTP connection is used with Windows XP or Mac OS X. See the Camera User Guide for instructions to change the [Communication] setting. Cause #4 Camera not in replay mode (PowerShot S230 DIGITAL ELPH/DIGITAL IXUS v3 only). See the Camera User Guide for instructions to put the camera in replay mode. Cause #5 Insufficient battery charge. Check the battery charge if you are using a battery pack to power the camera. You are recommended to power the camera with a household power source (AC adapter) while it is connected to the computer.

Cause #1
Computer doesn’t support the USB interface.
