The ProLiant 8500, which is based on the ProFusion 8-way architecture, delivers this performance through state-of-the-art Intel Pentium III Xeon processor technology, breakthrough scalable performance of I/O and memory, and the highest levels of fault tolerance and manageability for the data center. The Compaq ProLiant 8500, the ultimate high-density data center server,
delivers breakthrough 8-way scalable performance for 24x7 multi-server rack
environments. The ProLiant 8500, which is based on the ProFusion 8-way
