1-12 Compaq ProLiant 8500 Servers Setup and Installation Guide Compaq Web-Based Management Compaq Web-Based Management allows you to access your managed Device List and the Compaq Insight Manager Alarm Log with a web browser, either locally at the management console or from another machine. If you have devices that are running Compaq Insight Management Agents v4.x, you can also view the device data using a browser. Two buttons have been added to the button bar in Compaq Insight Manager. One button launches your browser with the Device List displayed, the other button launches your browser with the Alarm Log displayed. For Web-enabled devices (devices that are running Compaq Insight Management Agents v4.x), a task will also appear in the Task List for viewing web data. Right click on the device in the Compaq Insight Manager Device List to display a device specific menu and open the Task List, or, directly select View Web Data. When you select the View Web Data task, the browser is launched with data for that device displayed. Compaq Integrated Management Log The Compaq Integrated Management Log (IML) records events and stores them in an easily viewable form. The IML records hundreds of events and then marks each event with a time stamp. For more information about the IML, see Chapter 7, "Integrated Management Log." Compaq Integrated Remote Console The Compaq Integrated Remote Console (IRC) is a hardware-based remote console solution for enhanced out-of-band remote server manageability. It requires an external modem connected to a serial port. Compaq Web-Based Management
Compaq Web-Based Management allows you to access your managed Device
