Integrated Management Log 7-13 Compaq Insight Manager Compaq Insight Manager is a server management tool capable of in-depth fault, configuration, and performance monitoring of hundreds of Compaq servers from a single management console. System parameters that are monitored describe the status of all key server components. By being able to view the events that may occur to these components, you can take immediate action. You can view and print the event list from within Insight Manager by following the instructions below. You can also mark a critical or caution event as repaired after the affected component has been replaced, for example, if a fan that has failed has been replaced. By marking it as repaired, you can lower the severity of the event. Viewing the Event List 1. From Compaq Insight Manager, select the appropriate server then select View Device Data. 2. The selected server is displayed with buttons around its perimeter. 3. Select the Recovery button. 4. Select Integrated Management Log. NOTE: You can only view the list from the Recovery/Integrated Management Log screen. To print the list, follow the instructions in "Printing the Event List." 5. If a failed component has been replaced, select the event from the list then select Mark Repaired.
