4 Chapter Installing Hardware Options The following instructions are provided as an overview for installing hardware option upgrades. Compaq recommends that you use the documentation provided with the hardware option for complete installation instructions. You can also refer to the Compaq ProLiant 8500 Hardware Installation and Configuration poster included in the shipping box or the labels attached to the top panel of the server.
