Server Installation 2-7 Unpacking the Shipping Boxes Unpack the shipping boxes by following the instructions and illustrations printed on the outside of the boxes. Locate the following materials: s ProLiant 8500 Server - located inside shipping box s Power cord(s) - located inside country kit box s Documentation inside the server (Most of the option installation and setup instructions are located on hood labels on top of the unit and on the sides of the Processor and Memory module.) s Hardware documentation and software packs inside the country kit: Server Setup and Management, Reference Information, and Software Products In addition to these supplied items, you may need: s T-15 Torx screwdriver s Options to be installed such as expansion boards, monitors, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), power supplies, hard drives, harddrive cages, tape drives, processors and their power modules, or memory s Application software s Cage nut fitting tool s Phillips-head screwdriver s Flat-head screwdriver s Pencil
