8-22 Paper is not picked up from a tray ! The tray size or type settings configured in the LCD control panel do not match the size or type selected in the printer driver Make sure the correct media is loaded in the tray and that the media size and type are set correctly in the LCD control panel. For more information about setting media sizes and types, see "Load paper and configure media types and sizes." ! The paper width guide is pressed too tightly against the paper stack Check that the paper width guide is snug, but not tight, against the paper stack. ! Photo paper is curled If you are using photo paper, make sure it is not curled. Uncurl the paper by gently bending it in the opposite direction of the curl. ! The "Pick From Other Tray If Empty" setting is turned off If you want the printer to draw paper from the other tray if it runs out of paper, make sure the "Pick From Other Tray If Empty" setting is turned on and that the media type and size settings in the LCD control panel are the same for both trays. If this setting is turned off, the printer does not use paper from the other tray to complete the print job. Paper is not picked up from the manual feed units ! The paper width guide in the front manual feed is pressed too tightly against the paper stack Check that the paper width guide is snug, but not tight, against the paper stack. ! Too much media is loaded in the manual feed units The front manual feed is designed to hold up to 10 sheets of paper. The rear manual feed is designed to hold a single sheet of media. ! Paper is wrinkled or bent Make sure the paper is not wrinkled or bent. Remove media from the manual feed units after use. Leaving media in the manual feed units overnight can cause the media to bend. ! panel do not match the size or type selected in the printer
driver
Make sure the correct media is loaded in the tray and that the
media size and type are set correctly in the LCD control panel. For
more information about setting media sizes and types, see “Load
paper and configure media types and sizes.”

If you are using photo paper, make sure it is not curled. Uncurl the
