Replication Solutions Manager equivalent job
command
MOUNT VOLUME_ALL
Presents the virtual disks that underlie a host volume
replica (or pre-existing host volume) to a host OS
and requests mounting of all components using the
speci
ed parameters. Components can only be
logical volumes.
There is no equivalent single command. The following
can apply:
CreateHostVolumeGroup
CreateHostVolumeDiscrete
MountEntireVolumeGroup
MOUNT VOLUME_ALL {raw}
Presents the virtual disks that underlie a host volume
replica (or pre-existing host volume) to a host OS
and requests that all components be handled as
raw devices. The components can only be logical
volumes.
CreateDiskDevice
MOUNT VOLUME_SINGLE
Presents the virtual disks that underlie a host volume
replica (or pre-existing host volume) to a host OS
and requests mounting of one component using the
speci
ed parameters. The component may be an OS
de
ned partition, slice, disk section or logical volume.
There is no equivalent single command. The following
can apply:
CreateHostVolumeGroup
CreateHostVolumeDiscrete
MountVolumeGroupComponent
MOUNT VOLUME_SINGLE {raw}
Presents the virtual disks that underlie a host volume
replica (or pre-existing host volume) to a host OS and
requests that the speci
ed component be handled
as a raw device. Components can only be logical
volumes
CreateDiskDevice
NORMALIZE UNIT
Checks the state of a unit (virtual disk). When the
state is normal or unshared, BC executes the next
step in the job. While the state is normalizing or
unsharing, BC continues to check the state.
Normalization applies to EVA and MA/EMA arrays.
WaitStorageVolumeNormalization
WaitStorageVolumesNormalization
MA/EMA arrays are not supported.
NORMALIZE VOLUME
Checks the states of units (virtual disks) that comprise
a volume. When all of the states are normal or
unshared, BC executes the next step in the job.
While any one state is normalizing or unsharing, BC
continues to check the state. Normalization applies to
EVA arrays and MA/EMA arrays.
WaitHostVolumeNormalization
WaitVolumeGroupNormalization
MA/EMA arrays are not supported.
PAUSE
BC stops the job at the step containing the pause
operation. When a continue command is issued from
the graphical user interface, or from the BC command
line interface (EVMCL), BC restarts the job, beginning
at the step after the pause step.
Pause
RESUME
Executes the speci
ed command, batch
le, or
script on a given host. Resume is typically used to
restart database I/O that was halted by a suspend
operation.
Launch
SCHEDULE
Creates a job event in the BC job scheduler.
Use the job scheduling feature in the GUI. The feature
replaces the schedule command.
