ed. See
about exports
.
Importing an RSM database
This feature allows administrators to import a previously exported copy of the RSM database. See
RSM database
. See also
Importing a remote RSM database.
Considerations
You can use the GUI, jobs, or the CLUI. See the
Import
job command and CLUI Set Server
command.
The database copy to be imported must be on the same management server as the active
database. Importing an RSM database by specifying a network share drive is not supported.
You must know the exact database copy
le name and location (drive letter, full path name). You
cannot search for exported
les from the replication manager.
Security
IMPORTANT:
The security credentials for enabled hosts are not included in an exported database.
Procedure
This procedure uses the GUI.
1.
Select
File > Import RSM Database
. The Import RSM Database window opens.
2.
Enter the drive letter, full path and
le name of the RSM database copy to
import, for example
C:\colorado\RSMdb_on_server2_Mar_15_2007.xml
or
C:\colorado\CADATA_20050211135232.export.xml
3.
Click
OK
. An implicit job is started. The results and number of processed resources appear in
the Monitor job window. See
implicit job startup
.
4.
After importing, perform required follow up procedures to ensure that all required resources are
available. See
completing an import
.
Importing a remote RSM database
This feature allows administrators to import an RSM database from another management server. See
RSM database
.
Considerations
You can use the GUI or the CLUI. See CLUI Set Server command.
After importing, HP recommends that administrators examine the active database for duplicate
jobs and managed sets and make corrections, as necessary.
Security
IMPORTANT:
The security credentials for enabled hosts are not included in an exported database.
Procedure
This procedure uses the GUI.
1.
Select
File > Import RSM Database from Remote RSM
