In the navigation pane, select Virtual Disks. 2. On the List tab, select the virtual disk to replicate using snapclone replication. 3. Select Actions > New Snapclone. The New Snapclone wizard opens. 4. Follow the instructions in the wizard. 5. The Monitor Job window opens. An implicit job is begun to execute the action. See jobs implicit job startup. 6. After the implicit job completes, refresh the content pane to display the most current resources. See refreshing the content pane. Creating snapshots (preallocated) Use a container to create a point-in-time snapshot copy of a virtual disk. See virtual disks containers and preallocated snapshots. Considerations • You can use the GUI, jobs, or the CLUI to create preallocated snapshots. See virtual disks actions cross reference. • A container that is the same size as the original virtual disk must already exist. Procedure. • Guidelines apply. In the navigation pane, select Virtual Disks. 2. On the List tab, select the virtual disk to replicate using the preallocated snapshot method. 3. Select Actions > Snapshot-Preallocated.
