Password change considerations Administrators should carefully plan and coordinate Oracle database security credential changes with replication manager operations. For example, if the security policy in your environment is to reset passwords every six months, consider that such changes can result in the replication manager server not interacting with an Oracle database. This can lead to the following: • Jobs that interact with impacted databases do not validate or fail while running. • Oracle database information is not updated in the replication manager server. Security credentials vs. tasks Replication manager tasks can only be performed by members of the HP Storage Admins group or HP Storage Users security groups on the management server. See security credentials configuration. Most tasks require membership in the HP Storage Admins group. The following table shows the relationship between security credentials and tasks that are allowed.
