Replicating (backing up) Oracle resources Replicating Oracle resources using the GUI This topic provides an overview of how to replicate (back up) Oracle resources using the GUI. Replication creates point-in-time copies of the virtual disks that comprise an Oracle database (tablespaces and archived redo logs). Considerations • Resources to replicate. Determine if you need to replicate an entire database or individual tablespaces. The database or tablespaces must be available in a list or graphical tree view. • Tablespaces. Guidelines apply. See Oracle resource guidelines. • Archived redo logs. Determine if you need to replicate associated archived redo logs. • Replication method.
