Before performing service ■ If possible, print a menu map and configuration page. See Menu map and Configuration page. ■ Remove all of the accessories and print media, the print cartridge, and tray 2 from the product. ■ Unplug the power cord from the power outlet at the wall receptacle. ■ Place the product on an ESD mat, if one is available. If an ESD-protected workstation is not available, discharge body static by grasping the printer chassis before touching an ESD-sensitive component. Ground the printer chassis before servicing the product After completing service ■ Reinstall the print cartridge (remove the print cartridge before returning the printer to the customer). ■ Reconnect all cables to the product. ■ Replace all of the accessories and load the media. ■ Print a configuration page and verify that the latest firmware is installed on the printer.
