If the cable does not slide in easily, check the orientation. Verifying Operation After making the appropriate connections, as outlined in this chapter, follow these steps to verify that the switch is running properly. 1. Access your browser. 2. At the URL address window, enter http://your switch IP address. 3. If connected properly, the name of your switch appears in green at the prompt, indicating Healthy/OK.
