MX5100VR.qxd 6/04/2004 3:37 PM Page 63 Programs, Random Play 63 Programs You may determine the order in which Audio CD Tracks will play.You also can program MP3 or JPEG files to play in a special order, including those on a Picture CD.To set a Program, follow these steps. 1 Press DVD to make sure the System is in DVD mode. 2 While play is stopped, press MODE/SPEED. The PROGRAM screen will appear. Example: Audio CD 3 Press o or p to select a Track you want to play, then press OK. Tracks that are in the Program appear on the right half of the screen. Press C-RESET/CLEAR to erase the last Track in the Program if you make an error. Repeat this step until you have selected all the Tracks you wish to play in the Program. 4 Press PLAY B. The Tracks will play once in the order you set.Turning off the System or opening the disc tray will erase the Program. 1 TIMER SET STANDBY-ON SETUP/ AUDIO/ PROG BAND SUBTITLE ANGLE REC DISPLAY ZOOM SKIP/ CH TITLE C-RESET CLEAR MODE/SPEED SKIP/ CH RETURN DVD DISC MENU TUNER VCR OK STOP REW PAUSE PLAY FF TIMER SET STANDBY-ON SETUP/ AUDIO/ PROG BAND SUBTITLE ANGLE REC DISPLAY ZOOM 1 SKIP/ CH TITLE C-RESET CLEAR MODE/SPEED SKIP/ CH RETURN DVD DISC MENU TUNER VCR OK 2 3 4 2 Random Play You may play the Tracks of an Audio CD in Random order instead of the order in which they are recorded (1,2,3...).You can also use this feature for JPEG and MP3 files, including those on a Picture CD. 1 Press DVD to put the System in DVD mode. The red DVD light will appear on the front of the System. 2 While playback is stopped, press MODE/SPEED twice so the RANDOM screen appears. Example: Audio CD 3 While the RANDOM screen appears, press PLAY B. The Tracks will play in random order. After all the Tracks have played once, playback will stop. STOP REW PAUSE PLAY FF 3 Helpful Hints • You cannot use the Number buttons or SEARCH MODE to select another Track while playing a Program. Use SKIP i/CH o or SKIP j/CH p to select other Tracks within the Program. • You cannot combine random playback with programmed playback. • You may play a Program or a Track within a Program repeatedly. During programmed playback, press REPEAT so ALL (all Tracks in the Program) or TRACK appears. The entire Program or the current Track will play over and over. • You cannot alter a Program during playback. • You can start Program play only while in the PROGRAM screen. • A Program can have a maximum of 99 Tracks.
