Quick Guide Caution • Please remove the batteries if you are not going to use the camera for a long period of time. • The life of an AAA alkaline battery depends on the brand and the storage time from the date of production. In addition, the life of an AAA alkaline battery becomes shorter at low 1 temperatures. • The AAA Nickel-Hydrogen Battery is not factory-charged. Charge it before use. Immediately after the purchase or after a long storage, the battery may not be charged fully. Repeat charging and discharging before use. For details, see the documentation that came with the battery or charger. • The battery may become very hot immediately after operation. Turn the camera off and leave it to cool down sufficiently before removing the battery. Battery level indication A battery mark appears at the lower left of the LCD monitor to indicate the battery level. Prepare new batteries before the batteries wear out. Battery Mark Description Sufficient battery charge Green Low remaining charge: Prepare new batteries. Green No remaining charge: Replace the batteries. Orange Caution • If you are using nickel metal hydride batteries, may not appear or or may appear immediately depending on the battery type and environmental conditions.
