3 Remove the four screws from the cover. (Rear side) NOTE Keep the removed screws in a safe place. They will be used when reattaching the cover to the instrument after installation. 4 Insert the module into the socket by fol- lowing the procedure below. 4-1 Insert the module vertically in the socket and position the screws (of the module) to the female screws respectively. Connector Flash Memory Expansion Module Female screw Socket Female screw (Rear side) 4-2 Press the top of the connector as shown, then push the connector firmly into the socket. 4-3 5 Re-install the cover you removed in step 3, in reverse order. 6 Check that the installed module is func- tioning properly. 6-1 Set the Tyros4 right-side up, and then turn the power on. 6-2 Call up the Format operation display. [VOICE CREATOR]  [E] EXPANSION MODULE 6-3 Execute the Format operation following the messages on the display. If the module has been installed properly, the appropriate available memory size is indicated in the PROPERTY display. NOTICE • If you cannot loosen the screws with your hand, use a Phillips screwdriver. In this case, be careful NOT to scratch the module or the Tyros4. • Be careful NOT to drop the screws inside the instrument when loosening them. 2 Pull the module vertically out of the socket. 3 Attach the cover to the bottom panel. Installing the Optional Flash Memory Expansion Module

Remove the four screws from the cover.

Insert the module into the socket by fol-
lowing the procedure below.

Check that the installed module is func-

Set the Tyros4 right-side up, and then turn the
power on.

Call up the Format operation display.
