Apply shadows and glows Choose from a variety of shadows and then specify the shadow's angle to simulate light shining on the object. Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow, and Glow filters Filter settings for shadows The options that are available vary by the type of shadow. • To set the direction of the shadow, drag the Angle slider. • To set the distance of the shadow from the object, drag the Distance slider. • To apply solid color to the shadow, select the Solid Color option. • To set the shadow color, open the color pop-up menu and set the shadow color. • To set the percentage of transparency in the shadow, drag the Opacity slider. • To set the sharpness of the shadow, drag the Softness slider. • To see a preview of the shadow, click the Preview option. • To hide the object and display only the shadow, select Knock Out.
