USING FIREWORKS CS4 121 Using Live Filters Apply filters to grouped objects When you apply a filter to a group, the filter is applied to all objects in the group. If the objects are ungrouped, each object's filter settings revert to those applied to the object individually. To apply a filter to an individual object within a group, select only that object with the Subselection tool. Non-editable filters are dimmed. 3 Click outside the window or press Enter. Reorder or remove Live Filters Reorder Live Filters You can rearrange the order of the filters applied to an object. Reordering filters changes the sequence in which the filters are applied, which can result in changes to the combined filter. Filters at the top of the list are applied before the filters at the bottom. In general, filters that change the interior of an object, such as the Inner Bevel filter, should be applied before filters that change the object's exterior. For example, you should apply the Inner Bevel filter before you apply the Outer Bevel, Glow, or Shadow filter. ❖ To reorder filters, drag a filter to a different position in the list in the Property inspector. Remove a single filter applied to a selected object ❖ Select the filter you want to remove from the Filters list in the Property inspector, and then click the Delete Live Filters button. Remove all filters from a selected object ❖ In the Property inspector, click the plus (+) icon next to the Filters label, and then select None from the pop-up menu. Create custom Live Filters Custom Live Filters are styles with all property options deselected except for the Filter option. To save a particular combination of settings for Live Filters, create a custom Live Filter. Create a custom Live Filter using the Styles panel 1 Apply Live Filter settings to selected objects. Apply filters to grouped objects
When you apply a filter to a group, the filter is applied to all objects in the group. If the objects are ungrouped, each
object's filter settings revert to those applied to the object individually.
To apply a filter to an individual object within a group, select only that object with the Subselection tool.

Select the filter you want to remove from the Filters list in the Property inspector, and then click the Delete Live
Filters button.

Custom Live Filters
