USING FIREWORKS CS4 282 Preferences and keyboard shortcuts Plug-ins preferences These preferences let you access additional Adobe Photoshop plug-ins, texture files, and pattern files. The target folders can exist on your hard disk, a CD-ROM, an external hard drive, or a network volume. Photoshop plug-ins appear in the Fireworks Filters menu and the Property inspector's Add Effects menu. Textures or patterns stored as PNG, JPEG, and GIF files appear as options in the Pattern and Texture pop-up menus in the Property inspector. For more information about textures and patterns, see "Add texture to a stroke or fill" on page 116. Restore default preferences 1 Quit Fireworks. 2 Locate the Fireworks Preferences file on your hard disk and delete it. The exact location of this file varies from system to system. See "Location of the Fireworks preferences file" on page 284 3 Restart Fireworks. The next time Fireworks is launched, a new preferences file will be created that restores Fireworks to its original configuration.
