212 Chapter 17: Optimizing and exporting Exporting graphics from Adobe® Fireworks® is a two-step process. Before you export, you must optimize the graphics- select options that make the graphics look as good as possible while restricting file size so that the graphics download as fast as possible. To be guided through the optimization and export process, use the Export Wizard. This wizard suggests settings, and displays the Image Preview to help with optimization. The Image Preview can be used independently of the wizard as well. To have more control over the process, use workspace tools such as the Optimize panel, the preview buttons in the document window, and the Export dialog box. In some cases, you can save graphics without exporting them. For more information, see "Save documents in other formats" on page 13. Use the Export Wizard The Export Wizard takes you step by step through the optimization and export process. 1 Select File > Export Wizard. 2 Answer any questions that appear and click Continue in each panel. Select Target Export File Size in the first panel to optimize to a maximum file size. 3 Click Exit in the Analysis Results window of the wizard. The Image Preview opens with recommended export options. Use the Image Preview You can open the Image Preview either through the Export Wizard or from the File menu (File > Image Preview).
