Start Fireworks to edit a Director cast member

In Director, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) the graphic in the Cast window.

Select Launch External Editor from the pop-up menu.
Note:
To set Fireworks as the external editor for bitmap graphics, in Director, choose File

The file opens in Fireworks, and the top of the document window indicates that you are editing a file from Director.

Fireworks exports the new graphic to Director.
