Charging the Battery
iPod touch has an internal rechargeable battery.
Charge the battery and sync iPod touch

Connect iPod touch to your computer (not your keyboard) using the included cable.
Note:
If iPod touch is connected to a computer that’s turned off or in sleep or standby
mode, the iPod touch battery may drain instead of charge.
An icon in the upper-right corner of the screen shows battery charging status.
If you charge the battery while syncing or using iPod touch, it may take longer to
charge. You can also charge iPod touch using the Apple USB Power Adapter, available
separately.
