4 Control Panel Control Panel Overview The control panel consists of LED indicators, a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and several buttons. This section describes the names and functions of the control panel's parts. 1. Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) 2. LED indicators (Light Emitting Diode indicators) 3. Buttons LED Indicators The LED indicators are lights that show the printer status. Name Ready indicator Alarm indicator Status Green On Flashing Off Red On Flashing Off Description Indicates printing status. Indicates that the printer is not receiving data or that it is ready to print. The printer is receiving print data. Printing is not possible. Indicates an error. Indicates a paper jam or other problem that the user can correct. There is a problem that the user cannot correct. Call your dealer or Brother Customer Service.
