Part 1: General Information • During the erasure, ALLERASE will flash at 1Hz. After the erasure is complete, the screen will be blank except the Image Number flashing "0". • The time required to erase the entire card depends on the number of images and their content, but averages about five seconds for a full 2MB card before the process is completed and the flashing "0" appears on the screen. • If the low battery warning is displayed during ALLERASE, the power will turn of automatically regardless of th condition of the erasure process. 2.12 LOW BATTERY INDICATOR The two-step battery indicator monitors the battery voltage. 1. Stage 1 When the battery voltage drops below 3 volts, the battery indicator lights. • The display can be cancelled by with the REMAIN No. button. • The battery mark may light in Record mode, but not in Playback mode (power requirements as different). 2. Stage 2 When the battery voltage drops below 2.7 volts, the battery indicator flashes for five seconds, and Auto Power Off is activated. While the mark is flashing all switches except the Power switch are inhibited. Fig. 1-5 Low Battery Indication 2.13 CF CARD WARNING INDICATOR Under the following conditions, the -G-irro mark is displayed. 1. If power is turned on with no card installed; or if the card is removed with the power on. • In Record mode, the mark is displayed on the viewfinder image. In Playback mode, it is displayed on the blank screen. • If the card is removed with the power on, the Auto Power Off sequence starts. 2. If a damaged card with unreadable data is installed, the mark lights. 2.14 PERSONAL COMPUTER CONNECTION INDICATOR When the camera is connected to a PC via the digital output, "PC" is displayed in large letters on the LCD screen. • While communicating with a PC, all switches except the Power switch are disabled. 1-10
