The side panel of the external storage unit is open. SOLUTION: Be sure that the storage enclosure door is closed or the side panel is properly installed. Storage enclosure on SCSI bus X indicated a power supply failure. A power supply in the external storage unit has failed. SOLUTION: Replace the power supply. Storage enclosure on SCSI bus X indicated an overheated condition. The external storage unit is generating a temperature alert. SOLUTION: Make sure all cooling fans are operating properly. Also be sure the operating environment of storage enclosure is within temperature specifications. Recommended Action Make sure the side panel of the storage unit is securely closed. Replace the power supply. 1. Verify that all fans are attached and operating properly. 2. Make sure the operating environment of the storage unit is within specifications. 3. For better airflow, remove any dust buildup from fans or other areas. 4. Check your user documentation for allowable temperature specifications and additional tips. 5. If none of the above solve this problem, replace the fan. continued
