3 Reconnect all the cables to the daughter card. 4 Replace the system-board assembly. See "Installing a System-Board Assembly" on page 69. 5 Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn on the system, including any attached peripherals. System Memory Each system board has twelve unbuffered or registered DDR3-DIMM slots for the installation of up to twelve DDR3-800/1066/1333 memory chips to support processor 0 and processor 1. See "System Board Connectors" on page 147 for the location of the memory modules. Supported DIMM Configuration For the sequence of the twelve DIMM sockets, see Figure 3-13. When you insert the SR/DR DIMM(s), always start with DIMMA2. See Table 3-2 for possible memory configurations. 82 | Installing System Components
