Note Note Using Job Storage options when printing You can use Job Storage options in the Destination tab of the printer driver. The printer driver installed on your computer must be configured to use the Job Storage features. See the "Configuring the printer driver for a printer hard disk" section. Step 1 Click Print from the software application. The Print dialog box appears. Step 2 Click Properties. The Properties dialog box appears. Step 3 Click the Destination tab to display the destination options. Step 4 Click Job Storage on the drop-down menu under Destination Features. Step 5 Click Settings. The Job Storage Settings dialog box appears. You can then select one of the Job Storage options described above by clicking the appropriate option button. These instructions are specific to the Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and Windows XP environments using the latest available PCL 5 and PCL 6 drivers. While the basic concepts of Job Storage are the same for PS print jobs, there are significant differences in the driver user interface. Also, there are some limitations in naming and PIN selection. Releasing stored jobs at the printer Once you send a print job using Job Storage, you can release the job to print using the printer control panel. Step 1 Press the select button (the one with the check mark) to enter MENUS. RETRIEVE JOB is highlighted. Step 2 Press the select button to select RETRIEVE JOB. Step 3 Press the down arrow to highlight your USER NAME. Step 4 Press the select button to select your USER NAME . Step 5 Press the down arrow to highlight a JOB NAME. Step 6 Press the select button to select the JOB NAME. PRINT is highlighted. Step 7 Press the select button to select PRINT. Step 8 If you assigned a PIN number to the job, press the up or down arrow to select the first digit of the PIN. Step 9 Press the select button to select the digit. The number changes to an asterisk. Step 10 Repeat the last two steps for each of the remaining three digits of the PIN. Step 11 Press the select button when finished entering PIN. Step 12 Press the up or down arrow to select the number of copies needed. Step 13 Press the select button to print the job. Deleting a print job Sometimes it is necessary to delete a print job from the printer memory or hard disk. This can be done from the printer control panel. Using Job Storage options when printing
You can use
Job Storage
options in the
