Chapter 13 Troubleshooting Message Operating system not found Keyboard error Mouse error Corrective Action • Check whether the drive from which you are booting has the power and SCSI flat cables connected. • Check that the boot device is enabled in the Hardware Security submenu under the Security menu of the Setup utility. If possible, check the drive by moving it to another system. If the problem persists, contact your HP support organization. • Verify that the boot device has an operating system installed. • Check that the keyboard is connected to the correct connector (not the mouse connector) at the rear of the system. • Replace the keyboard. If the problem persists, contact your HP support organization. No Error Messages Displayed If a POST error is detected before video display starts, a beep error message may be generated.
