Chapter 13 Troubleshooting Battery Problems If your HP NetServer LPr repeatedly loses its configuration or the CPU clock stops, you should replace the battery or install an auxiliary battery. WARNING There is a danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly installed. For your safety, never attempt to recharge, disassemble, or burn the old battery. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer. Dispose of used batteries safely. Installing a Replacement Battery 1. Turn off power to the HP NetServer LPr and unplug it. 2. Remove the front bezel and top cover (see Chapter 3). 3. Carefully, remove the old battery. Do not bend the clip that holds it in place.
