Chapter 2 Controls, Indicators, and Ports Rear View Refer to Figure 2-3 on the next page. • The Management Port connector supports Integrated Remote Assistant and links the NetServer to a console for real time monitoring and diagnosis of system operation. • The Network Port consists of an RJ-45 connector supporting 10/100 BaseT Ethernet. It is the rear panel of a Network Interface Card in slot # 4 of the PCI expansion bus. • The Serial B Port is a standard serial port. • The Serial A Port is a standard serial port. • The Parallel Port is a standard parallel port. • The Mouse Port accepts a standard PS/2 mouse. • The Keyboard Port accepts a standard PS/2 keyboard. • The Monitor Port interfaces to a monitor with up to 1024x768x256 resolution, with a 60 to 70 Hz refresh rate. The NetServer LPr includes a frame buffer of 1MB; it may be upgraded to 2 MB. • The Power Connector accepts a standard power cable to connect the NetServer LPr with the site power supply. 14
