NOTE: If the locking rail won't slide in easily, adjust the casters on the finisher to change the height. NOTE: Check the vertical gap between the finisher and the engine. Adjust the casters for an equal gap from top to bottom. NOTE: Remove the finisher from the engine if the MFP needs to be moved anything more than a very short distance. NOTE: On the engine, remove the bin full actuator, paper settling arms and face down bin. ❑ Install the bridge (IPTU) on the engine. Secure with one screw. Click here to view a video of this procedure. ❑ Remove packing foam and tape from the finisher. ❑ Open the top cover and remove the foam and tape inside the paper path. ❑ Locate and remove the shipping bracket for the booklet maker. Use one screw to store the bracket on the frame. ❑ Open the front door on the finisher and remove all foam and tape inside the finisher. ❑ Pull out the booklet maker and install two staple cartridge holders in the top of the booklet maker. ❑ Slide the booklet maker into the finisher. ❑ Remove the stapler lock screw and label. ❑ Rotate the green wheel to the left until the spring loaded white tab is exposed under the stapler. ❑ Rotate the green wheel to the right until the stapler moves back to the front position and stops. ❑ While holding the green wheel, insert the staple cartridge holder into the stapler. ❑ Follow these steps to install the optional hole punch. ❑ Remove two screws and remove the punch unit access panel on the rear of the finisher. ❑ Remove two screws and remove the "dummy" punch unit. NOTE: Save the dummy punch in the event the hole punch fails; it's needed if the hole punch is removed. ❑ Locate the alignment pin and tab at the front of the punch unit and the mounting bracket at the rear. NOTE:

Power down the MFP.

NOTE:

Install the bridge (IPTU) on the engine. Secure with one screw.

Remove packing foam and tape from the finisher.
Open the top cover and remove the foam and tape inside the paper path.
Locate and remove the shipping bracket for the booklet maker. Use one screw to store the bracket on the frame.
Open the front door on the finisher and remove all foam and tape inside the finisher.
Pull out the booklet maker and install two staple cartridge holders in the top of the booklet maker.
Slide the booklet maker into the finisher.
Remove the stapler lock screw and label.
Rotate the green wheel to the left until the spring loaded white tab is exposed under the stapler.
Rotate the green wheel to the right until the stapler moves back to the front position and stops.
While holding the green wheel, insert the staple cartridge holder into the stapler.
Follow these steps to install the optional hole punch.
Remove two screws and remove the punch unit access panel on the rear of the finisher.
Remove two screws and remove the “dummy” punch unit.
NOTE:
Save the dummy punch in the event the hole punch fails; it’s needed if the hole punch is removed.
Locate the alignment pin and tab at the front of the punch unit and the mounting bracket at the rear.
