Lights-Out 100i technology The LO100i subsystem is a standard component of selected ProLiant servers that provides server health and remote server manageability. The LO100i subsystem includes a dedicated or shared network interface. This design makes LO100i independent of the host server and its operating system. The LO100i subsystem provides remote access to any authorized network client, sends alerts, and provides other server management functions. Using LO100i, you can do the following: • Remotely power up, power down, or reboot the host server • Send alerts from LO100i regardless of the state of the host server • Access troubleshooting features through the LO100i interface • Integrate with HP SIM For more information about LO100i features, see the LO100i documentation on the HP website (http://www.hp.com/servers/lights-out). HP Integrated Lights-Out Virtual Floppy and CD-ROM drives LO100i provides diskette drive and CD-ROM drive functionality through the LO100i Virtual Floppy and CD-ROM features. USB support HP provides both standard USB 2.0 support and legacy USB 2.0 support. Standard support is provided by the OS through the appropriate USB device drivers. Before the OS loads, HP provides support for USB devices through legacy USB support, which is enabled by default in the system ROM. Legacy USB support provides USB functionality in environments where USB support is not available normally.
