The transport element is the robotics mechanism itself; the storage elements are the 10 or 16 slots in the magazine; the transfer elements are the drives. The Base Module reports these settings in response to the SCSI MODE SENSE command, in the element address assignment page. The defaults are transport = 0000h, storage element base = 0001h, transfer element base = 00F0h.
