Expansion unit control panel SHR-1685 Pushbuttons There are four buttons on the control panel, labeled Escape, Enter, , and . The buttons do not directly control specific functions or options. Instead, you use the buttons to navigate from the Default screen through a multi-level menu structure, then select the desired option from the appropriate menu by pressing the Enter button. Table 2-1 lists the effect of each of the four buttons under various conditions. The three most important things you need to know about the buttons are: 1. To enter the Menu Mode and display the Main menu from the Default screen, press the Enter button. 2. To return to the Main menu from a submenu, press the Escape button repeatedly until the Main menu appears. Pressing the Escape button while the Main menu is displayed exits the Menu Mode and returns you to the Default screen. The Default screen and the Main menu are shown later in this chapter. 3. To display the Show Status menu only without entering Menu Mode, press the Escape button at the Default screen. The system remains online.
