Battery CAUTION: Before removing the battery, ensure your CMOS settings are backed up because all CMOS settings are lost when the battery is removed. To back up the CMOS settings, use Computer Setup and run the Save to Diskette option from the File menu. 1. Disconnect power from the system ( Pre-disassembly procedures on page 50), and remove the access panel (Access panel on page 57). Place the workstation on its side with the system board facing up. 2. On the system board, press on the release tab of the battery holder. 3. Rotate the battery enough to get beyond the latch, and lift it straight up.
