Previous view 12 USER SETTINGS Setting the Key-touch Beep level You can set the Key-touch Beep level. A beep sounds when you operate a key. Portable: For the Ten-key and the Simple key types Mobile: For the LCD types (M enu > Utility > Key-touch Beep Lv) 1. Push [Menu] to display the Menu screen. 2. Push [Left] or [Right] to select "Utility," then push [OK]. 3. Push [Up] or [Down] to select "Key-touch Beep Lv," then push [OK]. 4. P ush [Up] or [Down] to set the Key-touch Beep level, then push [OK]. LThe setable range is 1 ~ 5, 1 (Linked) ~ 5 (Linked) or OFF. LWhen you select a Linked option, the beep level is adjustable by rotating [VOL]. 5. Hold down [Back] for 1 second to return to the standby screen. Portable: For the Non-display types 1. Turn OFF the transceiver. 2. Set [Selector] to any channel other than Channel 16. 3. While holding down [F3], turn ON the transceiver. Continue holding down [F3] for about 3 seconds. ••2 beeps sound. ••The transceiver enters the Key-touch Beep level Set mode. 4. Push [F2] or [F3] to set the Key-touch Beep level. Setting the Key-touch Beep level
<Key operation>
Portable:
For the Non-display types
1.
Turn OFF the transceiver.
2.
Set [Selector] to any channel other than Channel
16.
3.
While holding down [F3], turn ON the transceiver.
Continue holding down [F3] for about 3 seconds.
• 2 beeps sound.
• The transceiver enters the Key-touch Beep level Set
mode.
4.
Push [F2] or [F3] to set the Key-touch Beep level.

• The setable range is 1 ~ 5, 1 (Linked) ~ 5 (Linked) or
OFF.
• When you select a Linked option, the beep level is
adjustable by rotating [VOL].
• A beep sounds after pushing [F2] or [F3]. An error
beep sounds if you try to exceed the setable range.
5.
Turn OFF the transceiver, then turn it ON again to
exit the Key-touch Beep level Set mode.
You can set the Key-touch Beep level.
