Previous view 12 USER SETTINGS Setting the VOX Delay The VOX Delay is the period of time the transceiver continues transmitting after the user stops speaking, and then the VOX switches to receive. Portable: For the Ten-key and the Simple key types Mobile: For the LCD types (Menu > Functions > VOX Delay) 1. Push [Menu] to display the Menu screen. 2. Push [Left] or [Right] to select "Functions," then push [OK]. 3. Push [Up] or [Down] to select "VOX Delay," then push [OK]. 4. P ush [Up] or [Down] to set the VOX Delay, then push [OK]. LThe setable range is 0.5 ~ 3.0 seconds in 0.5 second steps. 5. Hold down [Back] for 1 second to return to the standby screen. 12-10

Setting the VOX Delay
The VOX Delay is the period of time the transceiver
continues transmitting after the user stops speaking,
and then the VOX switches to receive.
<Menu operation>
Portable:
For the Ten-key and the Simple key types
Mobile:
For the LCD types
(Menu > Functions >
VOX Delay
)
1.
Push [Menu] to display the Menu screen.
2.
Push [Left] or [Right] to select “Functions,” then
push [OK].
3.
Push [Up] or [Down] to select “VOX Delay,” then
push [OK].
4.
Push [Up] or [Down] to set the VOX Delay, then
push [OK].

The setable range is 0.5 ~ 3.0 seconds in 0.5 second
steps.
5.
Hold down [Back] for 1 second to return to the
standby screen.
