D CW side tone function When the transceiver is in receive (and the break-in function is OFF- pgs. 55, 56) you can listen to the tone of your CW signal without actually transmitting. This allows you to spot your transmit signal exactly compared to another station's. This also convenient for CW practice. q When CW (CW-R) mode is selected, push and hold M-CH/RIT SET for 1 sec. to enter the quick set mode. w Rotate [M-CH] to select "SIDE LVL", then rotate [DIAL] to adjust the side tone level. • Side tone level is adjusted in 1% steps (0% to 100%). e P ush M-CH/RIT SET to exit the quick set mode and re- turn to normal operation.
