It enables you to connect your computer to a device that is compatible with the Thunderbolt interface or Mini DisplayPort interface, such as CRT monitors, LCD monitors, projectors, or high-definition televisions. The Thunderbolt connector has the same appearance as the Mini DisplayPort connector other than the icon. If you connect a device that is compatible with the Mini DisplayPort interface, it generates Mini DisplayPort signals automatically.
