Getting Started-Getting to Know the COOLPIX5700 E The (Function) Button By default, the button can be used to choose a User Set without accessing the camera menus. Press the button while rotating the command dial, the selected User Set will appear in the top left of the monitor or viewfinder (User Sets 1, 2, and 3 only). It will also appear in the control panel shutter-speed/ aperture display while the button is pressed. By default, the camera is set to the automatic "point-and-shoot" mode, User Set A. Menu settings for User Sets 1, 2, and 3 are stored separately. You can create combinations of settings for User Sets 1, 2 and 3, and switch instantly from one combination of settings to the other simply by selecting the desired User Set ( 68). In User Sets 1, 2, and 3, you can choose the function assigned to the button, making it possible to select the User Set or adjust white balance and metering without accessing the camera menus, or to adjust flash and focus mode without using the buttons on the camera ( 129). (Function) Button
By default, the
