Deferred-To put documents to be on hold while they are in the outbox folder, scroll to a message that is being sent, and select Options > Defer sending. Failed-The maximum number of sending attempts has been reached. ■ Message reader With Msg. reader, you can listen to received text, multimedia, and e-mail messages. To listen to a message in Inbox or Mailbox, scroll to the message or mark the messages, and select Options > Listen. To skip to the next message, scroll down. Tip: When 1 new message or 1 new e-mail is displayed in the standby mode, to listen to the received messages, press and hold the left selection key until Msg. reader starts. Message reader settings To select the default language and voice used for reading messages and adjust the voice properties, such as rate and volume. Select Menu > Settings > Speech. To automatically detect the language of a message and read the message using that language, select Language detection > On. When reading a message, if there is no voice available for the language or if Language detection is set to Off, the default language is used. To view details of a voice, scroll right, scroll to the voice, and select Options > Voice details. To test a voice, scroll to the voice, and select Options > Play voice. ■ View messages on the SIM card Before you can view SIM messages, you need to copy them to a folder in your phone. 1. Select Menu > Messaging > Options > SIM messages. 2. Mark the messages you want to copy. 3. To copy the marked messages, select Options > Copy, and the folder to which you want to copy the messages. 36
