Entering Symbols and Punctuation Marks, Using Numbers

Keys Each key on the keypad can be used to type the various letters, numbers, and punctuation marks needed to create text. Ⅲ To type and 1, use the key. Ⅲ To type A through Z, a through z, and 2 through 9, use the through keys, as indicated on each key. Ⅲ To type + = and 0, use the key. Entering Symbols and Punctuation Marks Symbol mode enables you to insert symbols and punctuation marks into text. 1. To enter symbol mode press and hold the key. - or - Press Options ➔ Text Mode ➔ Symbols. 2. To select a symbol, press the corresponding number key. 3. To display more symbols, press the Up, Down, Left, or Right navigation key. 4. To clear the symbols, press the key. When the input field is empty, this key returns the display to the previous mode. 5. To insert the symbols into your message, press the OK soft key or the key. 6. Press the Cancel soft key to exit.
