Changing the WAP Profiles Use either ATT WAP or AT&T MMS (MultiMedia Server) to connect the phone to the network. You can create and customize the profile settings for connecting your phone to the network. These network settings are required to use the WAP browser or to send MMS messages. 1. From the Home screen, press Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Applications Settings ➔ Browser Settings ➔ Browser Profiles. 2. Select one of the displayed profiles: ATT WAP or AT&T MMS Caution! The WAPs are pre-configured and cannot be altered using this screen. If you change the settings without first checking with your service provider, the web browser and MMS features may not work properly. 3. To create a new connection profile, press Options ➔ Create and follow the on-screen prompts. - or - To edit an existing profile, select the profile from the list, scroll to the desired field, and use the keypad to edit the parameter you want to edit. The profile parameters are: • Set Name: The profile name. • Access Name: The access point name. • Auth Type: The type of authentication used for this WAP connection: None, Normal, or Secure. • User ID: The User ID required to connect to the network. • Password: The user password required to connect to the network. • Protocol: The connection protocol used by the WAP browser: WAP or HTTP. • Home URL: The URL address of the page to use as your home page. • Gateway Address (WAP only): The gateway address of the proxy server. • Proxy Address (HTTP only): The proxy server address and port. • Secure connection (WAP only): Determines if the connection will follow a secure protocol. • Linger Time (Sec.): A time period (in seconds) after which the network is disconnected if there has been no new data traffic in that time. customize the profile settings for connecting your phone to
the network. These network settings are required to use the

Set Name
: The profile name.
