SELECTING THE ORIGINAL SIZE When the correct original size is not detected or the original size is not displayed, you can manually specify the original size. By causing the machine to recognize the original size, you can have the automatic ratio selection function (page 512) automatically set a suitable enlargement or reduction ratio for the selected paper size. Place the original in the document feeder tray or on the document glass and then follow the steps below. 1 Touch the [ORIGINAL] key. AUTO ORIGINAL AUTO EXPOSURE 2 Enter the original size. original size.
By causing the machine to recognize the original size, you can have the automatic ratio selection function (page 5-
12) automatically set a suitable enlargement or reduction ratio for the selected paper size.
Place the original in the document feeder tray or on the document glass and then follow the steps below.

Touch the [ORIGINAL] key.

Enter the original size.
If the original size is a standard size, touch
the appropriate original size key.
