Connecting to the Internet by communicating with a Bluetooth® compatible mobile phone 6 Select the mobile phone you want to pair with your CLIÉ handheld, and tap [OK]. The Add Trusted Device dialog box is displayed. 7 Tap [Yes]. The Passkey Input screen is displayed on the display of the mobile phone. Tip What is a Passkey? A Passkey is a secret code entered by the user to enable two Bluetooth® compatible devices to communicate. When the same alphanumeric string is entered at both devices, communication becomes possible. The Passkey may be changed for every communication session as long as the same one is used for both devices. Once a valid link has been established, communication is possible without further Passkey input for a preset period of time. 8 Enter a Passkey on the mobile phone, and click [OK]. The Authentication screen appears on your CLIÉ handheld. 9 Enter the same Passkey you entered in step 8 and tap [OK] on your CLIÉ handheld. Pairing is completed on your CLIÉ handheld and the mobile phone. The communication method you have set is added to the list for [Available Connections:] by the name you entered in [Name:] in step 4.
