Chapter 5 WAN Setup Table 19 More Connections Advanced Setup (continued) LABEL DESCRIPTION Sustain Cell Rate The Sustain Cell Rate (SCR) sets the average cell rate (long-term) that can be transmitted. Type the SCR, which must be less than the PCR. Note that system default is 0 cells/sec. Maximum Burst Maximum Burst Size (MBS) refers to the maximum number of cells that can be Size sent at the peak rate. Type the MBS, which is less than 65535. Cancel Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh. 5.7 Traffic Redirect Traffic redirect forwards traffic to a backup gateway when the ZyXEL Device cannot connect to the Internet. An example is shown in the figure below. Figure 39 Traffic Redirect Example The following network topology allows you to avoid triangle route security issues when the backup gateway is connected to the LAN. Use IP alias to configure the LAN into two or three logical networks with the ZyXEL Device itself as the gateway for each LAN network. Put the protected LAN in one subnet (Subnet 1 in the following figure) and the backup gateway in another subnet (Subnet 2).
