disk Commands /wait{=boolean} Specifies whether to clear the disk synchronously or asynchronously. If you set this switch to TRUE, the command clears the disk synchronously and the command prompt does not return until the clear disk task completes. The default is FALSE; the command clears the disk asynchronously and the command prompt returns immediately. Examples The following example clears SCSI disk (0,2,0). There is data on the disk. However, the data is not deemed important and thus the /always switch is used: AAC0> disk zero /always /wait (0,2,0) Executing: disk zero /always=TRUE /wait=TRUE (CHANNEL=0,ID=2,LUN=0) As the command executes, note the title bar of the DOS window displays the status of the command.
